LEAGUE BASICS!

Leagues hosted by Fantasy Sports Guild are extremely competitive. Participants must remember that enjoyment of the game is predicated on a certain level of sportsmanship displayed by the participants.

A) One person cannot control more than one team in the same league. Violation of this will lead to cancellation of the teams and expulsion from the game. If an owner finds himself in this situation due to accident, he should e-mail the commissioner immediately and explain the situation.

B) Collusive transactions
Collusion occurs when one team makes moves to benefit another team, without trying to improve its own position. One-sided trades are an obvious example of this. Another example is a player drop made so another team can pick up that player. Teams found in violation of this policy will be cancelled, and their owners prohibited from participating in future Fantasy Sports Guild games. The commissioner reserves the right to remove teams at their discretion.

C) Impeding other owners
Certain transactions made solely to impede other owners are not allowed. In particular, protesting a trade merely to extend the trade time of an opponent`s players is strictly prohibited, and is grounds for expulsion from the game.

D) Roster Dumping
Dumping an entire roster to free agency directly undermines the competitiveness of the league and reduces league strength. Those owners who happen to have a higher waiver position at the time of the dump are consequently given an unfair advantage. If you choose to discontinue play please make your roster as competitive as possible and refrain from accessing the team or league(commissioner takeover may occur). Owners found to have dumped their roster will be warned and/or kicked out of the game completely.

E) Owner interaction
Although trash talking is allowed, threats and obscenities are not only against the rules, they are illegal in many jurisdictions. Owners that are found to have sent threatening e-mail to another owner will be warned and/or kicked out of the game completely. This extends to Message Board posts as well.

F) Offensive remarks
Any posts of a derogatory nature are strictly prohibited. This includes personal attacks and sexist or racist remarks. There will be a zero tolerance level - if someone in your league is violating this policy, please contact the commissioner.

Remember - the game is for fun! Creating confrontation in your league inevitably leads to a worse time for all involved. Play hard, but play fair!

It is important that all owners are prepared to hold a draft before the end of September. The league will begin when the NBA season starts. The Fantasy Basketball League week will run from Monday through Sunday. Each person who has registered becomes a franchise owner. It is up to the owner to give his/her franchise a name that will be used throughout the Fantasy Basketball League season.

Roster

Each team will consist of a maximum of 10 players at all times (includes max 1 IR): Must start six (6)

{Each team will activate the above number of players at each position on a weekly basis} - Maximums are in effect to ensure balanced player availability.

Player Eligibility

Because of these minimum roster requirements, position eligibility is an important part of the game. Changes in position eligibility will be posted as they are updated. We insist on actual playing time before we move guys. The Guild will not make subjective switches based on hearsay or by simple request. A player must play significantly at a position before the Guild will switch him.

In the event of a trade, a player remains at the position he is playing at the time of the trade. The owner who acquires the player may, after s/he acquires that player, request the change of the player`s position to the new position if the player begins to play significantly at another position. By request of the team owner, the Guild will monitor that player and consider the switch.

Each team is permitted one player on IR. That player must be listed as IR (by Fantasy Sports Guild). Maximum of 11 players.

PLEASE SET YOUR STARTING LINEUPS BEFORE MONDAY AT NOON (Pacific Time).
Starters will be:
1 - Centers (C)
2 - Forwards (F)
2 - Guards (G)
1 - Flex (any position)

Lineup Postings
Lineups are set once per week. Lineups must be set by midnight on Sundays.

Free Agents/Waiver wire

Free Agents are available through the add/waivers process. Waiver wire is simple - set up with Worst to First... Worst team is first, First place team is last. Waivers are then approved by midnight. Please refer to the add/waivers process overview under the `Help` link for more information.

Trades

All teams are allowed to trade freely using the website. All trades require approval from the Office of the Commissioner. The trading deadline is February 26th (midnight -EST)! If the Commissioner rejects a trade, the two teams involved can notify the Office of the Commissioner that they wish to protest his decision. The Commissioner then has 48 hours to locate an independent Commissioner to rule on the proposed trade. This independent Commissioner will probably come from a popular fantasy website like www.hoopheads.com or www.hoopsology.com/. If the Commissioner fails to locate an independent Commissioner than league owners will have an opportunity to approve or deny the trade via the message board. Owners will have just 24 hours to vote. One week trades are strictly prohibited. One week trades in fantasy basketball are defined as temporary swaps designed to set a team up for success against a certain opponent. The Commissioner will permit the original trade but reject the obvious return of players to their original teams.

Tie-breakers

� Regular season games will not have a tie breaker. The game will be recorded as a tie.

Playoffs

Playoff seeding is determined by the Win Pct. then Head to Head then total points

The first through third place finishers in each Division automatically qualify for the League Playoffs (a total of 6 teams). This is a Head to Head league so they will be determined by win pct. (if tie, total points). These teams will be seeded from 1 to 6 based on win pct. after Week 21. The top teams from each division get a first round bye. During the first round in Week 22 - 3 vs 6, 4 vs. 5,. The second round during Week 23 1 vs (the lowest winning seed), 2 vs (the next seed). The Championship will be during Week 24.

The team with more total rebounds wins playoff games that end in a tie.

Prizes
Each league winner will receive a trophy.
